Many many late night Channel 4 "art" films that I stayed up to watch as a youngster on the off-chance of some "special interest" scenes. Usually fell asleep with the TV on

Kranked MTB videos and any MTB videos that shows almost entirely jumping or riding in the trees - there is a lot more types of riding out there and they should also be shown!

I saw a trailer for that Offroading the other day it just looked so far fetched especially when the shark grabs the passenger plane out the sky.

With a title like that 'mega shark vs giant octopus' cannot possibly be a waste of time. I'm off to find it. That shit with Timothy Spall a couple of nights ago looked like a proper waste of time (my missus's - I wasn't paying much attention).

Thin Red Line.

A lot of people in the cinema left before it had finished, but I sat through it until the end just to see if it got any better.

It didn't!

Naked Lunch is the worst film ever. The only film I've ever fallen asleep to in the cinema - so not a complete waste of time I suppose.

"I strongly disagree with the triple posted opinion - 2001 is one of the best films ever".

Ho hum, each to their own. Sorry about the triple posting (STW gremlins), I only saw it once and that was more than enough.

Another nomination is Snakes on a Plane, although it can be classic comedy if you have a few beers beforehand.

Speaking of classic comedy, Meet the Spartans isn't. Dire, just dire.

Truely, whilst persuing movies to watch, I check if it's in this list.

Still, thier ripoff of famous titles has some amusement factor..

Titanic - BOLLOX of the highest order.

It's a disaster FFS... There's no love story there. People die. Lots of people.

2001 was a superb film.

Sideways - thank god I only saw it on DVD - ejected halfway though.

DaVinci code/Angels and Demons - didn't see, but the books were poor IMO so the film couldn't have been up to much.

Any "re-imagining" of a half decent film from back in the day. John Carpenter's version of "The Thing" aside, I can't think of any that have been worth the effort of focusing my eyes.

Seconded. Over rated garbage.

Other than that, anything with Steve Martin in it. Whoever thought he was even good enough to clean Peter Sellers' shoes should have been shot for putting him in the Pink Panther remake..... THEN doing another one.
Sellers = Legend
Martin = Leg end.

Stealth - best thing about it was Jessica Biel - probably one of the only movies I've seen that would have been better if I'd have muted the sound.

I quite enjoyed Quantum of Solace. Think that CR and QoS are still trying to reinvent Bond, and the storylines will flow a bit more in the forthcoming films

Nothing does happen in it though! It's utterly, utterly crap...and somehow they've managed to release a sequel to it!

I don't particularly like it, but to say 'nothing happens in it' is quite ridiculous. Certainly something happened on the screen when I watched it. Maybe people don't know where the 'on' button on the TV is?

I just can't abide the man. I don't go anywhere near anything he's in any more. Wooden, lame, rubbish. I can act better than him. And Kevin Costner. And possibly Keanu Reeves as well, but that's not hard.

- My House in Umbria - tiresome.
- Death Race - how dumb and repetitive can something get?
- Good Luck Chuck - simply not funny, and with no other redeeming features
- Appaloosa - so promising, but easily the worst of the recent crop of westerns. Flat, tired and with the most undramatic, banal fighting imaginable.

It's interesting to see what people's hates are. 🙂

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen - great book but complete tosh film. The time would have been better spent watching some of Apocalypse Now or The Good, The Bad and The Ugly again.

To all of the people who don't like Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace, I say go and read the Bond novels and then watch these two films. Perfect Bond that Fleming would have been proud of...

+1 the Road to Wellville

The Player (in fact anything with Tim Robbins - apart from Shawshank Redemption)

Boogie Nights. We went with friends. After 30 minutes, I'd had enough and wanted to leave, MrsG mentioned that our friends seemed to be enjoying it. Post-film-in-pub-over-pint-critique revealed that they'd had exactly the same thoughts as us, but thought we looked like we were enjoying it! Arrgh!
