Got a sore right foot which has been bugging me for months. I reckon it's referred pain from my back (Sciatica type thing) but need a professional opinion as well as some kind of correction regime.

Anyone got any recommendations?

Cheers,

SC

Nigel on 07764 191354. He is not a physio but he will fix you. Oh and hurt you too. But you WILL come to love him. In a non scary way.

I use a podiatrist locally who do gait assessments. I doubt foot pain is refered from your back - but it is possible.

FASIC have an excellent rep... Tbh I got absolutely first class physio from the NHS at the Gorgie clinic, my physio was evil but she was also very very good at her job, took on board exactly what my goals are and told me "This is going to be an incredibly tough 12 months but do what I say and do it right and you'll achieve what you want"- but she wasn't afraid to tell me what wasn't achievable either, which is just as important.

My local physio wasn't quite as good, but still decent- she just didn't have quite the grasp of the sports injury stuff and of exactly what I needed my leg to do.

Chhers guys - I'll check these out. Nigel sounds like a nice boy...

TJ, the reason for my "referred pain" hypothesis is that the foot pain comes and goes and tends to coincide with a bit of a pain around my right hip/buttock. However it's the foot/heel that is the more nagging ache.

Wife reckons it is probably not referred pain due to the distance apart the two painful areas are.

Stuartie, try Margaret Doig at Fife Physio in Glenrothes. I've got a very iffy back with Sciatic problems with leg pains. She's brilliant. 01592 611125
