any one got one of these for cycling? i want a light for about £50-60 ish, any ideas or do i have to go higher. i don't want to go midnight downhilling, just normal calderdale stuff
Fenix are very good, I've got a couple, and they're beautifully made, however, DealExtreme do a bewildering range of very good flashlights that put out huge amounts of light and are very cheap. You could buy three for the price of a Fenix.
This one is amazingly bright, and very compact, and is $19.45;

Or this one, $14.03,

This one is a fantastic little torch, 230lm, and works really well as a helmet light and handlebar light with a couple of Twofish Lock-blocks. I've got two of them and I use them a lot, carried in Fenix holsters:

One thing: batteries. I use 18650 cells in the bigger torches, they cost peanuts and are very powerful. The last torch is listed as using AA batteries, but don't bother except in emergencies. Get 14500 cells instead, same size, but 3.7v.
They both use the same charger, so buy several batteries and a charger when you buy the torch(es).
fenix l2d is brilliant and takes AA cells.
The head torches are good too.
