Chaps ( can't see it applying to ladies..) any one do any running and suffer from chaffing with the old boys?
Done a half marathon yesterday and suffered some abrasision. The shorts I wear have these little liners in which I think are causing the rubbing. Time for new shorts? Any magic creams?
In order I don't get locked up, there'll be no pictures with this thread ! 😀

Sexist 🙁
Can't say i've ever suffered that!
Fire on the chamois cream.
Try linerless shorts ans lycra boxers?
Pants...the wonder method of preventing chaff.
Yup buy some sports "briefs" I bought some when training for an ultra and similarly chaffed my nads. Very painful it was too.....once chaffed twice briefs. Or something.
Slap on the body glide as well. Helps me a treat although I forgot it on my bingo wings yesterday 😥
Under armour pants or similar
I've got a pair of thigh-length tight lycra under-shorts from Under Armour & Skins. The UA ones fit me much better & were much cheaper too, the Skins ones are a bit uncomfortable around the nether-regions so they're relegated to gym work only - which is annoying as they were bought for running use.
Thanks for the replies... Will get some dog poo bags to but my old boys in!
Obviously ladies can reply if they've experienced something similar!
Edit - i think I may have already asked this question on here in the past, so i'm duplicating! I just like the attention and talking about mens bits!
IIRC the tip of the old chap got a bit rubbed when I did the great south run once. Next time I did it wearing Endura Hummvees with the padded liner.
Body glide / vaseline etc... generally you get chafing and the skin toughens up and you might not suffer it again.
Nike do running shorts with long (similar to cycle short length) lycra inners underneath. I don't use anything else these days.
Not all lycra is equal - I've got some Decathlon 3/4s that I can't wear for longer than 30min without chafing, but have a very similar Buff model that's good for marathon distances. My favourites though are some Salomon shorts with a lycra liner, although for ultras I do use anti-chafing cream just in case (and carry a small pot of vaseline for emergencies).
Bodyglide anti-chafe is pretty good, Decathlon also makes a cream that works well.
