Feel free to mock, I only picked up a stick welder for the first time every on Sunday. So far I have managed to strike an arc reasonably regularly, run a reasonable bead and weld a length of timing chain to a car brake disc.

Sounds easy but my initial attempts were perfect examples of non-penetrative welds.

That's about a fifth of a terminator.

little finger needs shortening obviously

Having one holding a glass or bottle depends on me being able to clamp the bits together in the right places. I almost managed to weld my molgrips to the table making the hand.

If you were wondering about the colour, that is my first attempt at electro-copper plating. I think I need more time in the acid for it to work better but you can see the colour isn't the silver the bolts originally were

Have you thought about welding up an ankle?

I genuinely asked if they could 3D scan my left ankle, reverse the image and 3D print me a new right ankle.

Dr looked at me like I was mad.

I like the SRAM sprinter but I might need to improve my welding first...

I give it a month before you're posting from A&E.

(In seriousness, that's pretty cool.)

I am thinking of trying to make a tiny yo-yo for the raised finger
