Been sent upstairs to watch Top Gear so wife can watch something on BBC1 and stop listening to me winging about my ankle. Forgot it was Sunday so only have Pinot Grigio as pain killer instead of Theakstons Old Peculiar or Leffe. Grr.

Decided to stop riding until after Peter Poddys wedding I think.

Grr.

Not really a rant, more of a whimper 🙁

We'll have Hogs Back TEA as a pain killer at the reception.....

(That's Traditional English Ale, by the way!)

What is the point of Darts?

1. Get some sharp pointy things.
2. Throw them at a board hanging on a wall.
3. Score points according to what zones of the board the pointy things stick into.

Darts.
THE most boring 'sport' known to mankind. FACT.

Is it at Lakeside? If so, it's local to me....
Bob Potter who owns Lakeside used to come in when I was foreman at a concrete plant and offer me, ahem, 'cash deals' (Nudge nuge wink wink) in exchange for free tickets to the darts. I really could never tell him how boring I thought it was, how much I'd rather not get the sack, and also what a flippin vulgar sweaty slob I thought he was. One of the most horrible people I've ever had the displeasure to cross paths with, I'm sorry to say.....

PeterPoddy's getting married? Oh, how lovely!

(Wanders away, sobbing, as he's not had an invite like EVERYONE else...)

Ton; did you know, that WCA is one of the original founding members of teh Soft Southern Shandy Drinkers???

I went for a 'swift half' with him in Greenwich, once.

At least, I think I did...

You want a more boring sport than darts or snooker?

Easy. NASCAR racing. I used to bung it on, if I couldn't sleep. Within a couple of minutes, I'd be off.

Riding mountain bikes in the south. Like watching paint dry without the gripping plotline 😉

Most boring sports? Show jumping, or F1 95% of the time

Ah, the predicatability of people talking about that of which they know nothing. Almost as certain as death and Taxes... 😉

Come down on a SSSD ride sometime. Guarantee, you'll have a blast.

No, I used to live in the south, I know exactly what I'm talking about. Sorry. You'll have to do better than that 😉

BadlyWiredDog - If riding in the south is so easy then how come each time the SSSD group go out we manage to snap at least one Ti frame?

RudeBoy - SSSD was the ongoing name for the STW Southern Festival that I had in my back garden in the summer. I am sure I have drunk a swift half with you in the East End at some point.

BWD; ridden everywhere in the South, then?

Oh, you must be one of those people that does 60 miles off-road every day, up Scafell Pike and back, and all that. Lump of granite for lunch, and brake fluid in yer Camelback.

No, you're right. It's soooo boring riding in the South. As you know. So, we won't be seeing you down here any time soon, then.

WCA; I have fuzzy memories of staggering home from Greenwich, after a swift half, once...

Bowls - Nope - Lots of tactical play

Synchro swimming, skating and show jumping all have fit ladies in tight cloting to watch

NASCAR - Crashing!

RB - Invite on it's way. Shuddupayaface!
