I've been listening to Ulrich Schnauss on Spotify and also had a listen to their suggestions of similar artists. I wasn't impressed: Trifonic, FSoL, Biosphere etc..

Can STW point me in the direction of some electronic shugaze similar to Hr. Schnauss.

Thanks in advance.

Not impressed by FSOL or Biosphere? Bejaysus.

Tried Boards of Canada?

I didn't mention Bejaysus.

B of C are okay.

@nedrapier that is certainly complex and layered. A busy track if you will!

A lot of this electronica is just people pissing about with VCOs, noise, LFOs and holding a couple of keys down for four minutes.

There's also this label, Afterlife, which releases more housy based electronic stuff. Dunno, why but I seem to love it all, even though it's all a bit similar. I'm shit with genres, just like what I like, so not sure if it fits in with this thread!
Patrice Baumel, Tale of Us, Recondite, Adriatique are some of them, here's a couple of examples

Massive back catalogue to explore anyway if ya digs it ๐Ÿ™‚

I'm on Naibu now so thanks to @eddiebaby

I remember seeing Ulrich in some shitty little venue in Dalston many years ago. He was pretty damn good and I couldn't hear for a couple of days afterwards. I miss live music ๐Ÿ™

These have just become available digitally, I spent some cash tracking down all the 3" cdrs.

Sparkling electronica and ambient.

^^ Bandcamp good to buy from today (if you're not a streaming leech scumbag (joke!)) - all fees go to the artist.
