I think the first line of the link previously provided would be sufficient to explain that an international level sportsperson is narcissitic - you think that they get to that level by thinking that what everyone else does is good enough? perhaps not, so they join an athletics club? you think theres no competition in athletics clubs?
So what happens when they get good in their current athletics club? They start competing at county level etc...

Narcissism is self-love, not being good at something. If what you claim is true, every sportsman and woman is narcissist and that is an absurd suggestion in my opinion.
