Hi all,
We had planned to go to Camping verte vallee in the Vosges for a 2 week family holiday following recommendations from friends. Unfortunately for the two weeks my wife can get off in mid August they have no availability.
I'm a bit bewildered by options when starting to look for an alternative. Can anyone recommend somewhere within 6 hours or so of Calais for an active family holiday with our caravan? 3 boys (8,6&2), looking for somewhere we can safely ride bikes, some nice scenery, a swimming pool, beaches (lake or sea) and some nice towns near by. Not looking for a huge busy site with a bar/entertainment, prefer quieter places.
Any thoughts welcome thanks.
Camping Les Sapins in Gérardmer is a nice site in a lovely area.
Look at the Camping Huttopia group - the Ramboullet site is good for most of what you mentioned. Located in a huge forested area with great family cycling. You can get the train into Paris if you want to explore further. It is quite a big site but with all of the trees it doesn't feel big

We enjoyed Les Reflets at Saint Marie aux Mines in the Voges. Not been for a dozen years mind.
