We will be in touch
I sent an SD card to a company for data recovery after all software options failed.
They rang me back and stated they could get the data and gave me a quote.
I paid by credit card and received a case number.
Weeks and weeks of chasing.
Finally receive an email stating "sorry we can't recover data we will refund you"
Next email says there is a problem with their card provider and they cannot refund but it's OK as I can use the chargeback system to do this.
Next email states that the company has gone bust and I will have to do a section 75 chargeback to get my costs back.
Two weeks later the website is still there, apparently the brand has been bought by another company.
Have to say that I smell a huge rat. Company is called "Assured Data Recovery" if you are interested.
But is there anything that can be done (apart from warning mountain bikers) to stop this practise. Will the Directors automatically be disqualified as I have checked and one of them has gone to the new brand? If not, is there any point in reporting them anywhere or do I just chalk it up to bad experience and toddle off.
