Great stuff! Proper exciting. Good that the new changes (tyres, DRS) can actually make a significant difference; the tyre thing means strategy becomes even more important.

But had Red Bull gone for the 3-stop strategy, Vettel would've bin out of sight in front. That car is phenomenally fast, as Webber has proved. They don't even need KERS. All the other teams should be very, very scared.

Well deserved by Hammo though. Showed why he's No1 at McLaren, no question really. Great overtaking, and Button just din't seem to have the same fight in him. And wtf was that with the pit stop?? Will he not get a penalty for that?

Ferrari need to get their act together. They're nowhere near RB and McLaren. We need to see Alonso having a car he can compete properly in, cos then we'll see even more battles at the front. And the Renaults; such a shame Kubica's not involved, cos you know he would drag that thing up to the front.

Excellent.

massa was way ahead of alonso today, maybe he looks after the tyres better, be great if ferrari can improve and have 6 cars together for the lead

WHAT. A. RACE.

Good drives from some of my favourite drivers today - and what the hell has happened to alonso? Cheating sod.

Yawn....

Nice trophies; look like a right work of art them! Most trophies look very samey, or involve a steering wheel or something, but these look proper Chinese.

The best thing though, above all else, was that I din't see or hear Eddie Flipping Jordan whining on about anything for the entire race! Brilliant. Improves the coverage no end.

Great improvements to the cars and regs, shame about the BBC's new commentary team.

Heh! Brundle knows his stuff, but Murray getting it all wrong was far more entertaining! 😀

Better than the Marathon commentators though...

Nah - commentary is good IMO. Its the first time I can remember commentators spotting incidents before the viewers. DC is razor sharp when it comes to this. Yep he's a bit biased towards Red Bull of course, but he's still only been in the seat for 3 races so give him time.

Stunning race though, had me gripped like an end of season finale!!

I reckon even MotoGP fans may have enjoyed todays racing! 😉

Just a technical query, is the F1 HD feed not as sharp as it could be?

It just seems softer than other sports I've watched in HD - especially compared IndyCar on sky which is so much sharper.

A great race, shame I was too tired to get up for the start. I'll watch it on the red button later.

Don't really agree - there was little between all the top five so had they come in for a change they would have lost time in the pits. Even Christian Horner said so much after the race. But yes, the car is quick.

Nah. What Webber had over the others was the soft tyre worth a second a lap over the hard compound. Great drive by Webber though.
