So, after qualifying yesterday, today's race looks like it could be a cracker - though it's hard to believe anybody but the Red Bulls will be at the head of the pack come lap two.

Predictions? Ferraris in the top six, 1) Vettel, 2) Webber 3) Hamo 4) Button - bit of a safe prediction I know, but will be interesting to see how it all shakes out.

COME ON MCLAREN!!!!

:I'm thinking tyres might come into play and Button will come out on top. Looks like out might be a good race though. 🙂

Vettel "couldn't find the KERS button" - 😀

That's their secret. The mini launch KERS thing they've got. They'll be rapid off the line.

Thought so it's still dark outside. I think Vettel is going to storm this one. I would like to see the mercs in the running but the redbull is pretty quick.

Hoping for a Macca 1-2 but fearful for any reliability problems they may have!.

Also don't think the RedBull's start-only kers will be good for them - how will it handle restarts behind the safety car?

Looking at the sector times in quali, Vettel was only faster than Hammy in sector 3 - the rest of the track he might be an easy target (hopefully!).

They could make F1 more interesting by having women flash at the camera pans as each car passes. Young boys could play 'spot the nationality' whilst their Dads say 'oh well done son'

(I'm bored)

Nice to see Ferrari cheating already. Using Massas team orders to force Button to let both Ferrari's through, or get Bottom a drive thru.

At least Massa knows he's number 2 for his last year now.

Ask Nicole Shitzslinger. She must find it 'dashing'

Well, if Heidfeld puts in stellar performances like that in the next two races I can see Senna in that car pretty sharpish!!

IMO - a good start to the season, not great, but plenty of promise.

MotoGP is better.

(I didn't see the obligatory comment by anyone else, wouldn't want anyone disappointed.)

So KERS doesnt give us overtaking
the new DRS doesnt give us overtaking
when drivers commit to overtaking (J Button) they get penalised
Massa lets Alonso through and then goes backwards as usual....
Rubens once again shows us he's a chump and never deserved equal status at Ferrari, and he crashes 90% of the time he tries to overtake
Vettel top of the field, mistake free drive, Lewis did well to come in second. Webber will start with the excuses, but he's no where near the talent he thinks he has.

I've never believed the hype around Heidfeld, and Petrov showed him to be a clot today.

I bet Kubica is doubly sore today; what might he have achievd?

What did people think about the commentary?

It seemed pretty good to me, although Brundle missed a few incidents due to having to concentrate on talking in a more general way.

The race also seemed a little hard to follow with all the pitstops.
I'm not sure if that was due to the commentary, the coverage or the factor of all the extra variables.

Hope Malaysia is better.

😆 Qualitage.

Well that's a barometer for the season then; the DWC will be between the Number One drivers of RB, Mac and Ferrari, while the Number Two drivers will moan and look for excuses as usual, and have to seriously consider their futures. Speshly Webber. Massa just doesn't seem the same following his return from that horrible accident. Shame. Still drove brilliantly defensive. Love Button 'I was in front' yeah but you went off the track Interceptor, that's in breach of the rules. Anyway he wasn't in front. And he seemed to forget about squeezing Alonso onto the grass at the start...

Vettel is potentially another Senna I reckon. Just makes it look easy, and really enjoys it. I like seeing him win. Vettel has the talent and the car; Alonso and Hamilton have the talent to drag more out of their cars than other drivers.

Just needs a proper commentator, and we're all set!
