Is awaiting the mid-day, 2010 team announcement more exciting than watching the actual racing?

The FIA has revealed the 13 teams that will provisionally make up the 2010 Formula 1 grid – with all ten present incumbents on the list, two anticipated newcomers and one bolt from the blue.

The newcomers to the fray are Team USF1, Campos Grand Prix and, somewhat surprisingly, Manor Grand Prix

Who the hell are they?
Where is Prodrive and Lola?

Yeah, surprised not to see Lola and Prodrive...

As for the rest of it, it's a damp squib - basically they've given another week (19th June) to sort it out (or not, most likely) so other than the new teams, the news is that there's no news.

And Ferrari/RB/TR are on the list with no conditions.... More legal action on the way?

So campos GP have had success in GP2, so logical choice for the move up. Manors tho seem to have only done F3, though with some good drivers in the past. Suppose thats better option for the FIA than the 'fresh out the box' prodrive, shame tho as they were/are good at everything else they do.

I reckon that the legal action has barely started...

Good to see Cosworth back as an engine supplier. Hopefully the 50 guys who lost their jobs at MB can get work down the road.

Didnt Prodrive used to do the BAR cars though?

No, they didn't. Dave Richards helped with the management of BAR, but they didn't build any bits of the cars.

Manor Motorsport is just round the corner from me. Doesn't really look big enough for an F1 team though
