got some data, two times and i need the the difference, so far so easy. But the person who entered the times used a general format and not a time format.
Is there away to get Excel to treat these numbers as times and not as decimals.

Example:
Type 10:00 in A1 and format to general
In B1 enter =TIMEVALUE(A1) and format as TIME

put them in notepad, find and replace . with :, put back in excel
