Lucky to get a draw TBH
๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Sterling is what he is and most of it has been covered[fast headless chicken with no end product] but england were by far the better team and very unlucky to not win the game

Youse fans really dont do much in the way of perspective do you

I'm a big fan of Junkyard taking on a Scottish affectation all of a sudden. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Perspective? Is there a committee awarding points for artistic interpretation? Or is it still a knock out competition where you get 3 points for a win, and 1 for a draw?!

You can tell you've been watching LVG's United all season. You've actually bought into the philosophy mate ๐Ÿ˜†

fist half was great to watch, but clearly have to convert that dominance to the scoresheet

wilshire for rooney was ok, straight swap and wilshire looked comfortable
milner for sterling, while it sounds like strengthening defence achieved the opposite with milner at fault for conceding the corner and then failing to put in a proper challenge, two mistakes in 30secs cost us two points.

kane was not great, though he did buy us the goal, i would have liked to see either vardy or sturridge as a straight swap

This. Kane has been to the Teddy Sheringham school of winning free kicks (Michael Owen ditto). Not subbing Sterling before the end if the first half showed lack of courage and or stubbornness as he was coearly having a shocker.

Two wins and we top the group ๐Ÿ™‚

Turkey v Croatia.

Place your bets ladies and gentleman.

I am taking it easy today, after relatively heavy losses yesterday ๐Ÿ˜€

After a great Wales match, and an over optimistic Engerland one, I'm still well up.

I've gone for a 2-1 to Turkey, and Germany Winning tonight with Muller as first scorer and getting 2 or more. I've also bet on him for the Golden boot too. I reckon an Ozil assist is a safe bet too.

Mrs Binners correctly bet on a 1-1 draw last night, so she's getting the beers in for that one later! ๐Ÿ˜€

EDIT: Mrs Binners has also got Croatia to win. They're 1 - 0 up ๐Ÿ˜•

I have Croatia to win as part of my treble, so a win would be good for me. So far predicting all three matches, and cashing out just before it's too late, has done me ok so far. It's picking goalscorers I have been bad at.

...with that in mind. I need Mandzukic to get off his arse and score a goal.

Only caught the last 5 mins of that. Was it as dull as the scoreline and silent crowd would suggest?

So Junky is a Scot by birth. Even football threads have their uses.

I only saw last 10+ after Leogang finished, seemed pretty dire. Modric's goal was special though

They're going to need to get out of their own half at some stage.

Hope Poland break down this mob, hate seeing teams play without any thought for attacking.

Can't see NI keeping out the Poles (can you say that?) for the whole game.

Wonder if Sterling will start the next game?

Yes seosam, I did! ๐Ÿ˜€

Don't get me wrong, they played better than they have for many years, however, my point remains that any decent side would have exposed the frailties I highlighted to a far greater degree than the Russians managed.

A team of such young average age does mean that they looked run out during the second half, blowing their loads too early I fear.

Crikey, this is a tough game for NI. Must be knackering to spend an hour chasing a ball and hardly touching it. Lucky to be only 1-0 down. So still hope. If Russia could do it...

They played fine, just glaringly missing a focal point in attack.

Canny see it, the Russians just wereny great so pushed back by England. They didn't intentionally play defensively.

Saying that at 1 0 is precarious so who knows. Pressure looks right off Poland the now though.

The 'focal point in attack' had apoarently been told to concentrate on taking corners

When Kane was on korners in the friendlies, I thought it was just Woy messing about. When it carried on into the actual tournament I just gave up.

poland are a bit meh here, shouldn't have taken their foot of the gas, they'd have taken a few more. guess they are happy with 1-0, but that's a dangerous game to play.

NI did all that could be asked really, bit sloppy on the goal not to have one of the three central players at edge of the box but a valient effort.

So roll on Germany Ukraine, fingers crossed for an upset ๐Ÿ˜‰

(Though I imagine I'll be reminded again against Sweden.)

Nah, now I have them in the sweepstake, they're going to do a Leicester and win the thing.

They have players like Vardy, Mahrez, Drinkwater etc right?
