Yes - good to read something not lying about £350m, or blaming foreigners. Apparently not all Brexit supporters are mendacious bigots.

If by your definition anyone that wants to rid themselves of a larger system or get away from being part of larger system is called bigot then there are plenty North of the boarder. The question is how big a bigot they are in your view ... hhmmm?

Is it considered because it meets your pre-existing opinion?

I work for a company bigger than that, we had a similar letter telling us to vote in. Although it didn't waffle like that, it listed specific areas where being an EU member helps our business. A snippet:

The ability to freely trade services across the EU enables us to provide more effective integrated support to our major clients. In addition, harmonised rules which permit the free flow of data are vital in delivering value from innovative technologies such as cognitive computing and cloud services

Cloud services is an interesting one. Our infrastructure has been planned around the fact that London can serve EU traffic. I wonder how many millions of pounds it would take to rearrange services for our EU clients?

It's about more than simply importing and exporting goods.

so, legally theres no comparison between the US constitution, where several states attempted to retain the right to withdraw, and the act of Union which gives none.

Texas vs White?

Chief Justice salmon p. chase, in his majority opinion, held that the Constitution "in all its provisions, looks to an indestructible Union, composed of indestructible States."

Arrghhh ... bloody hell ... it's difficult to keep track of the arguments sometimes while also trying to set game record - slither. 😆

I just saw two words ... brexit = bigots.

You win this time! Damn! 😆

I work for a (possibly, only because I don't know who he works for) bigger company than Molgrips and they basically told us to do as we please. Go figure.

Lifer - Exactly, but important to compare Texas with the conditional acceptance of the constitution by Virginia (& Rhode Island and NY) - but the goal posts were essentially moved on the confederate states when they decided to leave, since no agreement either way was made time of signing. IIRC, Texas v White went on to discuss the right to leave by mutual agreement or by revolution - this lack of agreement on the nature of the constitution, settled by the court but argued about ever since, is what makes it unlike Scotland/England and UK/Europe, where specific clauses were agreed by both sides prior to signing (one as forever, and thus unassailable, the other being dissolvable)

I've discussed it with my employer, but if he told me which way to vote I'd tell him to **** right off.

I work for the second largest company in the world by revenue. They haven't even mentioned the referendum to us because they appear to respect the fact that is none of their business how we vote, regardless of how the outcome may affect them (very little either way, I suspect).

The post explicitly said they aren't telling us which way to vote; it says how being in the EU helps our business. Which is real information that is useful to know, rather than newspaper bollocks. Because I would not want to do anything to harm my own job prospects.

Sorry. I thought we were doing company size/voter coercion Top Trumps. My bad. Maybe it was this bit that had me confused:

China Petrochemical Corporation

Hes a spambot i tell you

I have no doubt at all that in the event of a Brexit the SNP will attempt to gain extra powers but remain very much in the Union

Your confidence seems to be inversely related to their staed position on this issue

Its blindingly obvious the SMP will, isf scotland votes yes, push for an exot vote from the UK.

I may as well say

I have no doubt at all that in the event of remain UKIP will STFU

It ain't gonna happen and you have to be a long way from reality to think otherwise.

My employer is a third sector charity with funding via ESF and other national areas- I am sure we are amongst the smallest mentioned here.

NO one has told me what to do as I guess they think i'm an adult able to make up my own mind on important issues.

Roundup Brexit BS

1. Control over stopping JF coming in
2. Last chance to take back control (after all we have none now do we) - dangerous to stay (no really)
3. Hope versus fear - nothing of substance from Bojo

Blimey all arse whipped by Sturgeon !!

Ah yes, I wrote that before I pulled up the blog post. Should've edited it, sorry. It should read 'telling us how important it is for our company to be in' which is similar if you believe in your own company.

worse than that the list is correct but for some reason I copied the third one not the second one!

Not even a google error but, and it breaks my heart to say this , but, my copy and paste skills have let me down. 😳

I only saw it on the news, but it did appear Sturgeon gave Boris a good hiding. It is a shame Sturgeon is now outlining what I have felt for ages. She is 2 or 3 years too late but nevermind.

@mefty if in the event of Brexit and the very unlikley scenario that there is no trade deal which includes services I am absolutely confident that an organisation like yours can figure out an efficient way to service European clients. After all if we can outsource to India and the Phillipines I am certain you can outsource to the UK. We do a huge amount of service business with the US and there is no trade deal. I effectively work in servuces and we get hired on merit and as I posted before ridiculous EU rules make my job more difficult, my competiors in the US have an advantage as they are not impacted and many of those in UK use smoke and mirror offshore entites to get round EU regulations.

Imsad fhe JCB letter was a quality contribution as that's what I think it was.

I have turned it off THM. Eddie Izzard is having a mare.I switched to Newsnight. Very insightful interview with Andy Birnam. I am sure there are skeletons in his closet, but I have a great deal of time for him.

Izzard's pretty hopeless tbh. He's been given some very easy rides in the past and I think maybe he doesn't realise that?

Even Sturgeon is brave enough, with big "balls", to defy the UK system with her tiny Scot-Land population, whereas her Southern neighbour wants to give up freeeeddoomm to be part of EU!

What's with this nonsense about being in to be able to makes a difference? Well, the Merican expression is " ... in your dream!"

I think you have given yourself too much credit to think you can change things in the EU club. You need to bribe them if you want to change them or feed them forever. Besides, none of the EU club members would give two hoots about BritLand once they are in completely because you are for sharing coz you have money!

Freedoomm!

No, the govt will prolong the exit by hook or crooks (plenty of them in there on all parties) with another 200 referendums ... 😛

It's a little ironic that CMD is saying he would invoke Artilce 50 immediately but Gove is saying that this would be irresponsible!!!! 😯

I don't know - someone who was made a lord because he donated lots of money to the Tories then complaining about unelected governments sounds a lot like nonsense to me.

Plus, he might still be a bit bitter because of that time the EU fined his company £22m for dodgy practices.

Beast of Bolsover: Many people think Corbyn will vote Leave, if he was being true to his principles, his writings and his past parliamentary voting record he would.

I salute those of you who gave up your time to watch a debate. I question your sanity but that's your choice 😉

Eddy Izzard is a comedian, much like Russell Brand he might be able to deliver a few one liners but they are not politicans or able to argue a point.

@athgray so you're happy when "yoir" Sturgeon is dishing it out (in your opinion) to Boris but won't watch when Farage gets the better of a comedian ?

Sturgeon and Bojo are MPs

The others aren't

It's easy to decide which is more important 😉

So its a bit of a non issue then

If we vote to leave? Nothing will happen

If we vote to stay? Nothing will happen
