Yeah it will be shit but regression is what the people want so they are damn well going to get it….

Not for everyone, Rees Mogg and the like will own the workhouses.

People need to start dusting off the Dickens to get a picture of it.

Expecting the Brexit Cookbook will be a big-seller this Xmas – resurrected recipes using such staples as potatoes, turnips, swedes and carrots will prove popular with Brexies as they re-live the blitz and look forward to the reintroduction of ration books. Time to mobilise the masses, particularly those retired with little to do and put them to work in the fields and poly tunnels – dig for Brexit!

Your assuming a good harvest, if the weather continues there may be issues. small harvest etc. And knowing tories and the love of the free market it will make more economic sense to export rather than ensure the domestic market has enough to survive.

Then we send in the gunboats and make Johnny Foreigner hand over the goods.

Thats the problem with people nowadays all negative. What happened to the blitz spirit, ooops bit too recent for most of the tories, I mean the Napoleonic war spirit?

Time to order 50 years worth of these!

I'll send the bill to one of Jacob Rees Moggs Ireland based investment funds.

So, after Brexit we get to we bring back rationing... therefore in one fell swoop we solve both the obesity crisis and a large proportion of the NHS overspend.

Full of win!

I thought Project Fear was a Remainer thing.

Looks like the Leavers are joining in as well.

No.... it turns out the ‘Project Fear’ predictions were just a warm up act, and the reality could be way way worse, but apparently the upcoming economic tsunami will all be the EU’s fault. And no blame at all will lie with the morons who istigated it. Obvs.

Interesting points on rationing etc. I'm almost beginning to see brexit as a nostalgic, yet misguided, attempt by some to rediscover that wartime spriit and community cohesion which has been lost in the past 30 years. I'm almost certain Corbyn sees it this way, and he might have a point given the constraints EU membership puts on nations who want to do something that doesn't look exactly like neo-liberal capitalism. Trouble is the population today is far more fractured, selfish and uninformed than they were back then. The results of collective hardship won't be increased community spirit, cooperation and collective responsibility, it'll be every man for himself, rioting, looting and general disorder.

Should be a good harvest for English wine though. Some silver linings. No swedes (of course).

I can see the queues of diabetics hanging around the lorries at customs stuck in clearance. God forbid. Stockpiling works. For a while. It’s not a sustainable strategy.

We have plans to have 6 months worth of insulin stored away in the fridge. Keep on joking though, if it's not the life of someone close to you at risk. As for the joke about rationing and it helping the NHS… * you *hole! Quite the opposite is true.

Perhaps the extra £350m for the NHS isn't so far fetched ... after the economy crashes and hyperinflation kicks in it will probably be easy to achieve.

will all be the EU’s fault.

Thats incorrect. Some of the blame will be assigned to the enemies of the people and the traitors within.

Cant simply blame the EU since that would imply weakness as opposed to only being defeated by the stab in the back.

Not formulated my plan yet for our family. But the whole medicines situation is utterly outrageous. And I work in the R&D business.

I still think it most likely that either a deal on the side is arrived at for medicines, or everything will be delayed by some means (but with us "out" in name)… but I'm not betting a life on it.

Another scam targeting brexiters to part them from their cash 😉 Keep going there son, take as much as you can to keep reminding people how you and the others lied and cheated.

Apparently Tory MEP David Campbell Bannermam wants treason  laws updated to include remainers with extreme loyalty to the EU.

I can't post the link as my phone keyboard goes nuts when I try to post links.

Can't even get the treason act date right.

I'm going to laugh so hard at these nutters when we return to the EU.

Thanks for posting a link el-bent.

I hope we can laugh as you say, and have not already been hung, drawn and quartered alongside Jihadi John's mates. Also worth noting that if the typical Brexit supporter has their way, we would not have to go through the hassle of a trial prior to our execution.

Well if he wants to expand the definition.... taking steps to harm the UK could be levelled against a few, committing crimes to achieve it, hiding the cash....

Its time to confront these brexiters head on. In fact its way past time. They can't be reasoned with, so now must be fought against.

I actually agree with Bannerman.  Brexiteers are working against the interests of the country -treasonous bastards - you can the hang the ****ers for me.

Oh wait - that isn't what he meant was it. My mistake.

Tory MEP

There in a nutshell is a major part of the problem with Europe in the past for the UK. Instead of selecting MEPs who would actually go and seriously represent the UK interest morons like this got elected. Like Farage who whilst happy to grandstand about fishery policies couldnt actually be arsed to attend the committee he was on for it.

Good to see the stab in the back myth is well underway. Although given the funding for Brexit from various interesting sources I would have thought they would be a bit more careful when talking about traitors.

Have we covered the USA getting hot for a EU trade deal before an UK one? It's been whispered about a lot, but looks like things are actually happening. Trump has done his slap then stroke thing again. USA companies have always stood to benefit more from Brexit than UK or EU ones, in many sectors… even without new deals… now, with new arrangements…? The vultures circle…

Yeah over in the Trump thread, lots of hot air, lots of shouting, lots of blaming the EU and then agree to have another meeting without actually agreeing anything other than to keep talking

What was Raab there for? To serve the tea?

It dawns on Rabb that he’s now below the four pot plants in the food chain

May only let David Davis anywhere near negotiations for 4 whole hours, all year.

Something we can all be grateful for.

luckily he was too thick and bone idle to notice.

She’s just given the Brexiteer preening tits some fancy job titles and ministerial cars, like throwing a ball for a dog. Liam Foxes ‘job’ is basically a non-job, but it keeps the half-wit out of the country most of the time

Is May actually just really pissed that the tories put her in this position in the first place so all she is doing now is taking the whole lot of them down before telling them the game is up an swanning off into the sunset?

not sure on the logic of the bull fighting one,

In general it's all an EU is bad message, EU lets the happen, how can the EU be good. All it needs to do is give you a reason to be angry with the EU

Well they were looking to target people who would respond to and share emotive bollocks dressed up as fact, "muh animal rights" seems to root these types out quite quickly on social media.

Little update on our visit to hospital here in Austria, my wife was in hospital for 4 days, had a rod inserted through her arm, received fantastic care.

Here’s the view from the hospital balcony!

Her EHIC card was out of date so we had to get a temporary one emailed through, the cash desk hadn’t received that so initially the bill came to just under €5000, once they had the temp EHIC card the bill was €47.

Better check that travel insurance when we take back control.

Finally some good news!

After weeks of scaremongering, a British firm has been given the contract for printing ration books.

(pinched from HIGNFY site)

No, they will have an orangey/brown or green cover just like they used to have when Britain was great.
