Just fancied downloading the Armchair Articles off the news page onto my HTC Desire, but can't even get them onto my Vista laptop in a readable form 🙁
Had a quick Google and the 'free' sponsored links want me to register my details (ParetoLogic) and others just look very dodgy.
Can anyone reccomend software which will render the file readable please? And should I just be able to upload it to my phone afterwards?

Calibre will convert ePub to (ebook file type of choice).
Maybe convert to .mobi and install the Kindle app? Dunno if that's the best option but it's what I'd do I think,

Hmmm. Well, downloaded calibre and imported the files and I just get an error message when trying to convert to a mobi file. Bah. Any ideas?
did you set the input to epub ant the output to mobi?
Yup.... Perhaps a quick reboot will get the prog running properly - will try later.
aldiko will open epub files on an android phone.
Firefox has a plugin and works a treat.
Loads of ePub files out there 😉 If you know where to look.

Only time I've had an error with Calibre, the source file has been corrupt. Try downloading it again?
😳 I downloaded it on my phone and it turns out the 'reader' app can open it no problem 😳
