[Closed] Endura warranty fail, or am I being fussy

I reckon if you can prove that one finger is ridiculously small compared to the others then yeah, then on prima fascie it is a warranty case. Otherwise they could argue that you just bought the wrong size? But for £20 or whatever they cost is it actually worth the hassle?
Personally, if I was incandescent about it, then I might be tempted to measure and take pics myself, send them back to endura with all your pics/evidence and see if they respond. if they don't then put it down to experience and do not buy their brand again..

What does the label say? Jeremy Beadle?

I'd put it down to experience (ie, your lack of), learn from and try both of a pair on next time... 🙄

Bin them and never buy from Endura again. Only one other brand I've had to do this with; Specialized.

Yeah, I do actually. Quite regularly because I make the assumption that when I'm buying a matching pair of something they will be exactly that.
It's a policy that hasn't failed me yet.

Your contract is with the shop not the makers. It's not Enduras problem.

I think Endura are being a bit of an arse but technically they don't have to help. I agree poor customer service but you have no "consumer rights" with them.

You may find that they are not really set up to deal with retail and direct returns.

Do they sell direct? If not then that's probably why they are telling you to go to the shop.

This doesn't surprise, Endura are total nobs!

On balance I had a warranty issue with a Stealth jacket and they replaced it with no fuss.

As others have said, your contract of sale is with the retailer, not the manufacturer. Under the Sale of Goods Act they're obliged to rectify any faults; outside of six months the onus is on you to prove that the fault was inherent at the time of purchase but, if as you say they're clearly stitched incorrectly, that shouldn't be difficult in this case.

If they need to go back to Endura for repair / replacement then fine, but that's the shop's problem. The shop might be 200 miles away but you can post goods to foreign countries and everything these days.

Post gloves to shop. Ask them to replace with a pair of matching size.

If I had a problem with a new car I'd never driven I wouldn't be talking to the manufacturer about it?

Endura's products - terrible QC and consistency. They can't even get their pattern cutting/sizing consistent and fittings/stitching is made of chocolate.

So lets not slag the OP off when Endura have slid down the decent outdoor kit choice arena huh.

I've had 2 pairs of gloves (Strikes) replaced under warranty, dealt direct with Endura and had no problems.

Eddie, just send the gloves back to us, preferably with receipt and packaging and we'll sort you out or send them back to you with a stern note. Let me know which gloves and what size.
Endura are a fine company.

my gloves have been fine. in fact I think I've only had one quibble with my Endura kit and sorted without fuss (in fact doubly so). Still got Endura shorts from 10 years ago, recent kit seems to hold up OK too.

So hora - don't know what you do to your kit fella!

Their sizing is casino like though.

I had a lengthy skirmish with the CEO of Endura last year about the non-waterproofness of their "waterproof" gloves. The CEO (scottish guy, can't remember his name) eventually told me to back off with threats of legalities.

It turned out in the end that my opinion that their Quality Control was at fault, turned out to be correct so they took back the gloves and returned my money.

They also claimed ignorance when Evans sent them back my waterproof jacket for which the zip became detached after minimal use - a complete loss of the £90 it cost me.

Just saying, like. 😈

kcal I don't fall off onto my shorts or slide around on them. My saddle is a fairly smooth Spoon saddle.

I also take exception to the waterproof claim of their Superlite shorts.

For complaints/how do I approach it Mr Woppit. They QC tested my shorts recently and said they were waterproof (they aren't).

It's not smooth when it's covered in crap. I use the same combo and fully expect the shorts to get ruined courtesy of my arse grinding mud into them

Legend did you say bad design? Why put stitching down the centre of the seat of the pants then ready for it to fail?

They are supposed to be specialists ney even experts at a sport-specific item of clothing right?

That was a few years ago, they went through a bad patch. Unfortunately, that reputation still lingers on internet forums and gets dragged out at every opportunity. 🙄

FWIW, I've always found Endura to be excellent - good warranty and excellent kit.

Have you considered that the gloves may have become separated at the shop and a staff member has simply paired them up wrong - a S with a M for example. (unless of course they're both listed as M and one clearly isn't...)

As much as anything else your feet and hands may well be different sizes. That's the reason we try both shoes on, not because one of the SHOES is likely to be a different size.
