export old emails on Outlook 2003 vintage to something else (not sure what else to use yet, any suggestions???). I want to save/export emails but may not use Outlook 2003, due to updating PC (Vista to Win7).
So which is an easy alternative for emails and one I can simply transfer over, i.e. export? then import onto a new PC (likely running Win7).
Any help in choosing email system and transferring appreciated.
Oh home based windows PC with some work emails, nice and simple please:)
Or point me to an idiots guide?
Thanks

file export > select your mailbox and then create a pst file? then re-import into new mail client (assuming it imports pst of course)

as this explains it better fire at will

Thanks, sorry for the obvious follow up Q; which emails can import .pst files? preferably free? Thunderbird?

Most of them I expect.

I like Live Mail myself (part of Essentials), I've used it since it was Internet Mail & News.
