I would care I've only had 2 payments this way recently
I was thinking about this today- suprised they haven't done more to restrict it
If you use the gift option be very wary of putting what it's for in the comments box or what address to send to - use an email instead
I think some people do it without thinking, it never crossed my mind TBH
