Got an email from BT the other day regarding my email address.

Basically, because I no longer am a bt broadband customer (I haven't been for a couple of years now...robbing gits!!!) they now want me to pay £1.54 a month to use my email address. Now, I don't think that's it's outragous but I'd prefer not to have to pay if I can get away with it.

The question I suppose I'm asking is.... Where is the best place to get an email address? .....(this has been my email addy since i started out.

Thanks in advance

I've used gmail for years, saves the hassle of having to change email address when you change ISP.

+1 for gmail. pop3 accounts just seem a bit redundant now.

Now go through all your online accounts with those websites you use and change your details/email addresses before you lose the BT email address and lose all those useful emails confirming your orders, telling you payments ahve been made etc!
