If you like that sort of thing then yes. I enjoyed it, especially the rainforest zone.

It's really quite excellent - highlight being the tropical biome and the acoustic seed thing for me. Oh, and Eden project ale, which is gorgeous

Thought it was great but couldn't help thinking it would have made a fantastic warmer and drier alternative to Lee Quarry!

The chillies are worth a gander too (being a chilli grower myself I was interested anyway).

The food is also good but very expensive.

And finally - watch out for small kids walking past you and punching you in the nads. Well that happened to my brother anyway :-O

never been in summer, but around xmas when they have the ice skating it is excellent - especially when they do their locals all year admission for a fiver.

on a cold nasty day to walk into the heat of the tropical biome is pure delight, but i always think they are missing a trick. they should rent deckchairs, i'd happily escape the chill to sit in there for an hour, sip a latte and read the paper.

I reckon its one of those places you have to go to if you're in the area.
Would recommend it

The kids and I enjoyed it but my wife, who's a biology teacher, thought it was heaven.

The Eden Project was good although I had to race round with my sister, mother and baby, had to be done before next feed! It was good what I saw and food was nice but expensive.
Welsh National Botanical Gardens not quite on the same scale. Cheaper than the other and the main garden was lovely. A lot of the garden needed planting still which was a shame as the year is getting on. It was woth the £8.50 to get in though.

From a personal point of view I would recommend visiting it on a day when there is a music/art/theatre event that takes your fancy on in the evening..

They hold a great deal of interesting arts based stuff there and it gives it a bit more of an atmosphere and a buzz.. plus you get that extra time and also the option to view some of the exhibits in the evening and when it's dark which is not always possible..

No, WNBC is not as good but it's still nice and it's on the way to Brechfa 🙂

Went a month ago when it was quiet. Its almost information overload the first time, but its free from then on. The rainforest zone is interesting if you don't like heights!

The just to expanded help yourself `posh breads and cream teas' eating area was nice and quite reasonably priced.

Eden is good - been a few times and there and it always feels different, depending on the weather/time of year/what's growing....

.... if you're in the area, Lost Gardens of Heligan was also vast, impressive and not as busy feeling (and cheaper) - though it's obviously at its best int he sunshine/summer when everything is flowering, not being availed of two giant biomes as it isn't 😉

Yeah - Heligan is lovely too - and some great walks to be had through the gardens feeling like you are an explorer or something 🙂

It's incredibly impressive. Would make a good venue for a winter 24hr race.

I dunno if I explained it well enough earlier..

when I say Music events the caliber of bands you should be thinking about include..
Kasabian
Primal Scream
Fleet Foxes and Pendulum amongst others

I went to a rave event down there last year spread over four arenas around the venue featuring acts including Chase n Status and Krafty Kuts.. They also hold the South West drum and bass awards there each year..
