Hi,

I am after some advice re. Ebay. I won an auction for a Cisco ADSL wireless router with a bid of £2.20. I was pretty chuffed as these retail for £350.

The seller advised in the listing that the external PSU was missing so I when I won the item I ordered a replacement PSU for approx £15.

I have now received an email from the seller which reads "hi im really sorry i have had to take this item off as i had it tested and
it doesnt work sorry for any in conveince"

I think that this seems very dodgy and that the seller does want to complete the transaction at the price that I bid. I am not sure what to do. I suppose I could insist that he send the item to me but guess if he is a scammer he could damage it before posting. The seller has 100% feedback with a score of 151.

Suggestions please.

Report to e bay / neg feedback

He isn't going to send it to you for a couple of quid. I'd call his bluff tho - tell him you want it anyway

I have asked the seller to send me the item on the basis that if I cannot get it working I will not expect him to accept the returned item. If I had not ordered the PSU I would put it down to experience.

Report to ebay. He's pissed that it didn't go for what he expected. Also keep an eye for it being relisted.

How did he test it without a PSU?

How did he test it without a PSU?

He had four units with two PSUs.

In the item description he stated "i dont know much about this item" so even if he did power it up then I cannot see how he can state that it is beyond repair.

I have cancelled the PSU order.
