Besides the obvious cotton buds - what do you consider the best non-ear specific tool for getting wax out your ears, i favour the hair grip, it almost seems tailor made for the job.
What's your weapon of choice?

paper clips work well. More capture area than the hair grip.

baby's fingernail...littlelister#2 loves sticking her fingers in me gob, nose and ears when she is being cuddled to sleep.
not too efficient though.

On a positive note, i find jousting sticks work, like those from gladiators or dwarfs who can crawl inside
