Have real trouble with ear equalisation, mostly on left ear when flying (on decent).

Tried the usual sudafed, ear popping techniques etc, but still end up in discomfort.

Anyone got some wonder drugs / methods?

This stopped my flying career and bugs me every holiday / business trip.

Heading to doctor next if can't find something that works. I have a dust allergy / hay fever that I suspect causes extra blockage rhinitis. Take a nasal spray daily for that.

Hopefully STW medical expertise prevails! Thanks

Welcome to my world 😐

My Eustachian tubes are blocked and I suffered your problem for years, until my current ENT surgeon fitted 1st grommets and once they fell out a couple of years later T tubes were fitted. I now have a permanent perforation in both ear drums to allow pressure equalisation.

Having the above done has improved my quality of life dramatically where my ears are concerned.

Bruneep- did you have day to day issues to get that done? Or was it just for flying etc?

Keep doing it little and often. Don't wait until the day you fly, or even the week before. Basically exercise your tubes
