where else would i turn for toaster advice??

bought a 6 slice vario toaster off ebay. it's orange, so we're very excited, and virtually new, it appears

it was listed as 'not working' but i know you can get spares so (hopefully) I got it cheap, and a little project for the evenings

am i right in thinking that measuring the resistance will tell me which elements are duds? has anyone else done this?

cheers

Pete

You can get the spares direct from the Dualit website.

actually i think it must be new-old-stock. it's never been used as there is not a single crumb inside. the serial number says it was made in 1996, and the elements appear to be a different design now. hopefully still compatible!

Yes - No problem to test them with your meter. On the older ones just run your hand up and down. You'll spot the break. I think the newer ones are enclosed?

Simple enough inside and easy to replace.
