Evening,

I've got a Drift HD camera and I'm thinking about the waterproof case - problem is it is £40 and I'm not convinced it is worth the cash. So far I haven't had to use the camera in the wet so no idea how waterproof it is without the case. Off to Spain for a family holiday and think it might be a laugh for any days to the beach so I can try to get some footage whilst playing in the water...

Anyone got one? Is it ok?

Anyone know where I can get one cheaper? Had a nosey on Ebay but no luck...

Cheers.

Wrap it in cling film, keep it clear of the lens though.

Had thought of that but the rotatable lens is likely to burst the clingfilm...also keeping it clear of the lens is likely to mean away from the rotatable housing which will then expose that bit to the water (which is the bit I think that is going to be susceptible to water ingress as everything else is well sealed.

The lifeboat I'm on is sponsored by them, all of their gear is worth every penny!

Good support and easy to talk to, we've dealt with al lof the major brands and the quality of drifts stuff is by far the most superior!

Thanks for the input...looks like I'll need to forget my opinion and get my hands on the kit.
