My great ol' Pop has an eclectic taste in music from Vangellis to Amy Winehouse, and back in the day he could use P2P to d/load some stuff, and make himslf a CD

Kazaaa was easy to use & coupled with Nero made it within his IT abilities, but it seems those days of P2P music files are over; probably rightly so.

Is there anything comparible available now though? Ideally through a monthly subsciption (thinking Christmas Present).

Itunes and the like is no good, because it he sees that each individual song has a price, he won't use it if he thinks I'm paying for it.

Ta, Rich

Isn't that just streaming though? It needs to be 'downloadable' onto HD.

It's legal, which is nice and means my post won't get deleted 😉

With the £10 per month subscription you can make anything available offline, subject to however much HD space you have

Just discovered this mp3 million place. Cheap as chips..... What's the catch?

Poor bit rate? Adverts on tracks? Haven't downloaded anything yet.

Isn't that only whilst you continue to pay for The subscription?I've got 6 albums lined up on this million site for £4.50. They are apparently mp3 downloads no catch. Once you stop spotify there is no music left behind.

Just had a look in the 'A' section, and A Fine Frenzy, a female artist that I have an album of, has several, between 256 and 320Kb, although there's an EP at 128Kb, which I wouldn't bother with.
I might give it a go, at those prices it's hard to see any issues.

Further inspection shows minimum top up of $15 required and they are in Ukraine. Royalties paid and all legal apparently.

Bit rate on frank ocean for example is 320.
