went to apply for contents insurance from M&S read that roof cant be flat for more than half its area - woman upstairs has dormers along the entire front of her property im nigh on certain this has a flat roof above it - will be checking the rear out today - if it too has dormers then im over the half roof area flat rule
Am i completely stuffed or can i phone up and perhaps pay a slightly higher premium for the higher percieved risk ?
surely your roof is her floor, and the risks should be based on that (ie, you've a high chance of flooding cos she left the bath running, a low chance of flooding due to a tile falling off the roof, etc)? worth giving them a ring, as all your stuff is 8' of room below any roof, I'd be surprised if it matters
