Non circular ones are called strike plates.
Shoot bolt keep?
A deadbolt plate

That is a flush bolt strike plate,
I'm pretty sure that would have had a large ball-bearing behind the plate, with a spring behind that, I guess they're called spring catches? Had them on doors all over the house once upon a time.

I guess from the photo, that's a bolt plate in a threshold, not on a door.

That's exactly what it's for. There's already a security bolt attached and I want a second floor plate so I can keep the door in the open position without the toddler closing it!

Its a keep for a bolt which is mounted in the floor.
Ironmongery direct are a decent outfit to start from.
