I said this before, in an earlier post, but unless we all accept that consumer goods and the means to produce them will cost us more, then its all for nothing. Can America deal with the fact that internalising certain costs of production will effectively amount to subsidising their workers salaries for producing them?
Same thing over here: we could open the pits tomorrow (well, not really, but bear with me), start to use UK coal, but at what cost? To make it competitive against other locally-produced energy sources, we'd need to pump in huge amounts of public money. People would be in work, but we'd be paying for it via the state.
I'm not saying this is a bad thing.....but its very un-American, and very opposed to how Trump has operated in business. So....as many of us have been involved in governmental procurement, running businesses, costing....how can he do it?
My big fear: he's talking about slashing American salaries. He's already said that American workers are paid too much. Is that his game?

IMHO she has a point - the polls certainly moved markedly following that intervention, and it only needed a very small difference for her to have won.
