That is all he wants to rail against "lefties" whatever the facts

So, a bit like calling Trump stupid and incompetent despite the facts showing that he won the presidency and defeated ISIS, not only just like he promised, but just like the lefties said would never happen? #MAGA

With fake news and false promises

So, once again, demonstrating that rather than incompetent and stupid as you claimed, he's in fact an incredibly smart and completely competent con-artist 😀 #winning

Trump defeating ISIS, now you're just making stuff up...or were you making a point about fake news/false promises.

What evidence do you have that he has increased job/employment please?

He should probably tweet at ISIS as I don't think they know he's defeated them yet. I should think trump has actually resulted in their numbers growing tbh.

I normally ignore Ninfan's posts, and having read the outright lies he is posting, I shall return to that policy.
What evidence do you have that he has increased job/employment please?

extrapolate from the number of people trump has employed since november, ignore the firings. hey presto. employment up. you heard it here first. #fakenews

what I'm intrigued by with ninfan, jambalaya etc is how far the slavish devotion to the right goes.

I'm not particularly left wing, in fact I'd probably term myself as right of centre but I look at Trump (and May) and think to myself WTF is going on. Is this as good as it gets...

I don't think I have said he is stupid. Only those that follow him.

he's in fact an incredibly smart and completely competent con-artist

The con can only go on for so long.

Nah, there'll be some schoolboy's homework someplace about how Trump singlehandedly defeated ISIS, built a wall, had Hillary Clinton thrown in jail and saved the world

post hoc ergo propter hoc

I'm not sure if you were being ironical but that phrase is usually used to demonstrate the logical fallacy that a correlation does not necessarily imply causation.

(Or have I conflated Jambalaya and Junkyard again? Many apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick)

I haven't got involved in this thread, but seriously, how can anyone not be amazed at trump's incompetence? The fact that there is an argument puzzles me......
David koresh, jim Jones, Ron Hubbard....all of those convinced a load of borderline remedials that what they were up to was correct too.

I need to step away from the keyboard, as does mr trumpton.

In one thing at least, ninfan is quite correct. Trump is a conman.

Here's an example of his latest attempted con, designed to make people believe that he's actually doing something other than playing golf...

http://m.huffpost.com/uk/entry/uk_598d4a8be4b08a2472737aa2?ir=UK

The curious thing is, ninfan seems to think that Americans finding themselves with a conman for a President is a good thing.

However, in the age of instant communication, his lumbering attempts to maintain the con are falling foul of exposure.

So now we see, as in the above example, that even the cry of "fake news" no longer works.

"Since event Y followed event X, event Y must have been caused by event X

Just because something happened before an event [ trump elected] it does not mean it is the cause of the other event [ increased employment].

Or have I conflated Jambalaya and Junkyard again?

Its hard to say who is most insulted by that confusion 😉

I like this FB post from Ricky Gervais, today:

Jane just asked if that mud on the sofa was from my trainers, so I quickly tried to start a war with North Korea.

Although it's just a Trump tweet, and its conditional. By the end of today there will be retractions and qualifiers from all his advisers and negotiators

I'm coming to terms with him now.
He's like that dodgy uncle who,you know will touch up your sister and is probably broke but likes to go on about being chair of the golf club and how kids today are all layabouts.

I think the US has him boxed in now so less of a worry and more just entertainment.

'Locked and loaded' FFS. Nothing like a bit of Vietnam draft-dodging to give you that gung-ho feeling.

Let's hope Donnie Jr and Eric have their heel spurs locked and loaded ready to deploy in case things really kick off.

some interesting stuff on r4, a correspondent was saying he talked to a US military strategist who had seen the plans for war/conflict with NK, apparently a conventional war turns nuclear very quickly to nullify NK bombardment of Seoul.

its all a bit pointless

the last thing that the fat one will do is risk his power base and the destruction of his regime

the last thing the orange one will do is fire nukes despite his need to look tough.

I expect another few months of increasingly deranged "diplomacy" with nothing happening at all despite the tough talking.

NK will be wiped out near instantly in any war conventional or otherwise.

Ninfan has you all played. I've read quite a bit of the thread and I can't remember where he's actually said he supports trump, he just seems to be playing devils advocate by disagreeing with the majority. No one in their right mind would actually support the orange fool, but he seems to be taking great delight in winding up folks enraged by the POTUS.

Don't get me wrong, he's no DTF but he's done a pretty good job on here for 300+ pages...

Whilst I'm sure this is true, is isnt the biggest issue. With China asking them both to calm down, Germany also on that bandwagon and Japan shifting missle defences around, it's about who else gets involved and what happens next IMO.

The world's a small place. Light that particular fire and it could soon spread very quickly.

Yep what china does is more important

personally I think they like the buffer country between them and the west in South Korea so they would rather the regime prevail

How far they are willing to go to maintain this is the real question

Again i dont think even trump will attack first so it will just be endless posturing from two deranged mad men making ever increasing threats they wont carry out

I'm not a fan at all, but he has quite a sharp wit, and the sofa line is pretty good. Not rib cracking hilarious, but then it's not meant to be.

He's doing quite well according to that article - it was dated August 4th, and his latest blunder was all the way back on July 25th.

Really? At the first hint of a strike a nothing to loose red button would decimate the top half of South Korea, it's been well documented that they have a vast amount of bunkers and shielded underground storage for weapons and troops.
NK has a very large conventional military and unless the US is happy to simply bomb them into oblivion with no regard for civilians it will be tough.

Then any remaining nuclear material can just be strapped to anything that flies.

So option B nuke NK - commit mass murder and annihilate civilians and those trapped under a brutal regime. To do that would endanger SK and China on the borders, along with the oceans around.

I can't see a simple and fast solution there.

I'm more inclined to think North Korea is a proxy for China, they like having a "lunatic" state to prod the US and let it know its not welcome in the region without actually having to do it themselves, quite handy I would have thought.

Imagine this whole thing turned around, with China setting up camp on our doorstep with airbases and bombers and whatever pointed our way.

(edit: there is no good start, middle or end to any conflict so best to take donalds phone away for while.)

Dear Mother,
Recently I had the opportunity to hire a large amount of government workers. I try to remember that as someone in a position of power, I lead God’s army. Unfortunately, mired in the paperwork of my new position, I accidentally approved the employment of a known homosexual. This man is so good at his job I accidentally overlooked his sexuality in the hiring process. The thought that I am paying an admitted sodomite chills me to the bone. Even throwing a football around the White House Rose Garden--I meant the lawn--isn’t fun anymore. My wife says if I do not fire this person I will go to hell. Mother may I...fire this deviant?
Sincerely,
[s]Mike Pence[/s] Mark Parts

Dear [s]Mike Pence[/s] Mark Parts,
If you want to find eternal bliss, you must fire this person. Not only are they infecting God’s earth in their spare time with their unacceptable behavior, but they are poisoning the saintly environment you are so carefully constructing. We are taught to love the sinner and hate the sin, but homosexuality is a dangerous choice made to taunt godly people. Reject it, and give this pinko the pink slip.
Love,
Mother

That's exactly right, what China doesnt want is a reunified Korea that's aligned with the US and the West, however, having a raving lunatic in charge isn't exactly helpful either.

Just started watching Games Of Thrones and within the first couple of episodes their have been two clues that Trump is a fan.

First off Jaime Lannister shook the hand of the 'barstard' and sharply pulled his hand towards him, which looked very like what Trump tries to do.

And then there was the Wall as well.

I'm encouraged by news that China has opened the door to there own sanctions with NK. It feels as though they are more on the side of averting an inident as not.

Hope this gives Kim the impression its not just the West or SK who think hes in the wrong...
