President Trump is doing well IMO coz most people like his style of management.

All those talks about Russian connection are laughable as people know exactly well nobody can actually influence their voting choice.

The opposition is just trying to establish their "credibility" by trying all the tricks in the book. As for the media they are merely trying to stir up their own self worth by putting thoughts into the people. I think the media know they are slowly becoming obsolete as they are confronted by the unknown. A President that likes to tweet. ๐Ÿ˜†

Makes you wonder why so much money is spent on political campaigns. ๐Ÿ™„

You think the Clinton email investigation (for example) had no influence on how people voted?

Especially as the allegation that Clinton can't be trusted and Trump was an innocent "fresh face" were the mainstays of the republican campaign.

I think that chewk is a good example of factproof trump fans.

Trump could be filmed giving Putin a foot massage as he told Vlad all the country's nuclear codes and still his fans would say that the Russian thing was just a distraction.

Time for a new slogan
Trump, making Nixon look good since 2017.
Well another day leads to another load of scandal one can assume. At least strategically deflecting questions to the lawyers makes the press conferences less problematic. Yeah something we can say he has done right.

Are you saying they are stupid or just that they do not believe reality or that they would not believe it were it all if we swapped the name Trump for clinton?

Its obvious something went on between them and its obvious the russian intervened the only question is to what degree and how successful it was.

You just cannot have your POUTU working with a foreign power [ and your greatest foe] to get elected.

I think Trump may need some administrative assistance as it appears that throughout his campaign he had no idea what any of his staff or family were doing.

For those of you befuddled by Jamby, Ninfan and Chewkw - dont forget this sort of shit has precedence.

During the war many Germans loathed the Nazis but still held Hitler in adulation - he was seen as seperate from the Nazi party - his percieved aloofness insulated him from the growing unpopulatity of the Nazis. Ian Kershaw has noted this about Trumo (I wonder if the supporter of Oxbridge elitism... Jamby... will scoff at Kershaw) ,... as have other commentators.

Ullrichโ€™s new Hitler book offers valuable insight on a leader such as Trump. Ullrich expands on the theory of โ€œworking towards the Fรผhrer,โ€ first proposed by British historian Ian Kershaw in a 1993 essay, and developed in his own two-volume Hitler biography, Hubris (published in 1998) and Nemesis (2000). Kershawโ€™s thesis holds that Hitlerโ€™s aloofness as a leader meant that Nazi officers, party functionaries and ground-level civil servants essentially had to anticipate his policies. As Ullrich writes, such lapdogs โ€œwere not just the willing executioners of Hitlerโ€™s ideological postulates: They drove racist policies forward.โ€

Thereโ€™s a scarily similar structural deficiency inherent to Trumpism. Trump is consomethingely aloof. When it comes to politics and statesmanship, itโ€™s accurate to say he has no idea what heโ€™s talking about. Whatโ€™s more: He expresses no desire to learn. Instead, he spins his ignorance as a virtue, making it an integral part of his Washington-outsider persona

Thank you, Mystic Meg.

Care to let on how he's going to overturn the Constitution of the USA to enable that?

You ARE aware that "House of Cards" is not a documentary, right?

They don't think it's true because they don't trust the sources of the information. The people that are telling Trump supporters that the Trump is happy to take help from Russians (and at the same time breaking the law, but let's be generous and suggest that they perhaps didn't know that) are the same people that Trumps tells them are telling then lies.

Why would you believe a source that "everyone" knows can't be trusted? To a Trump supporter it makes perfect sense.

So The Washington Post or CCN or the New York Times can bash on about it until they're blue in the face, makes no difference

Hopefully some of what they are investigating will result in either impeachment or criminal charges.
The pool of core Trump is there now but when nothing gets better in 2 years he might not have any friends left.

Impeachment is a political process though, do you really think the republicans will make themselves look "that" stupid? As to get rid of their own man when they control both houses?

I guess it's not impossible, but it seems pretty unlikely nevertheless

Until there's actual evidence of actual law breaking....

From PMJ's link

The disclosure follows the administration's suggestions over several days that it supports reviewing climate science outside the normal peer-review process used by scientists.

WTAF are they proposing to use? Guesswork? A wet finger in the wind?

It's all about ensuring that those pesky scientists can't dilute the very necessary excessive profits for the oil industry and entirely benign executives.

Scott Pruitt is a long-term manmade climate change denier, who once described himself as the "leading advocate against the EPA's activist agenda." He sued the EPA at least 14 times whilst he was Oklahoma's Attorney Genereal.

Fairly obvious that Trump, who has said many times that climate change is a Chinese plot, put him in charge of the EPA to gut it.

Ditch all those pesky environmental laws and American coal can be profitable again - a true capitalist's vision of profit over everything else.

I wonder how long before we see the same thing in the UK? There have already been calls to ditch EU environmental protection laws during the Great Repeal Bill. Money always wins in the end. ๐Ÿ™

Yeah was quite amusing that Trump thinks that a prime minister everyone in the country hates can somehow change the public perception of a man everyone in the country thinks is a douchebag !

Was that a joke? Laying down and being nice to him isn't in our interests, chances are he will be out by the time we leave the EU and start any other negotiations.
