Was paying in cash today.

Sales guy had to have a colleague watch him count the cash, then the other guy checked, sealed envelope, both signed over the seal and both took the envelope to the safe together.

😯

*it was a main dealer

Sounds like good practice to me.

What would you prefer? He stuck it in a draw and threw you the keys?

I was just pointing out that dealers may not be as dodgy as often portrayed

remember buying a new sofa in DFS and paid in cash, the bloke nearly sh*t himself didnt know what to do, had to ask about 5 other guys, took about 30 mins to sort out...

I'd prefer that I reckon.

We could seal the deal with some whisky from a filing cabinet out of two chipped tea mugs.

That's the correct way to buy a car.

I payed 7000 quid on my switch card ,when i bough a van,looked really cool to the other customers who where asking for credit.

This happened when my brother got his first car. It was only a shitty little fiesta but even so.
