Afternoon...
has anyone bought a diy conservatory? Ours is dead, leaky, crappy pos so I've been looking at getting it redone. Quotes from local companies to use the existing dwarf wall and flooring come in at around 9k which is frankly ridiculous.
So anyone built their own??

I built mine, pretty easy really, hardest part is doing the base and getting it perfect or the whole thing will be out of true.
Ours was 3mx4m and total cost including flooring, heating, elecs etc was 5.5k

Our local Travis Perkins were having a clear out of windows, lots of different sizes at £25 each. I knew roughly what sizes I needed and put a few of the same height to one size. I went home, had a proper measure up and needed 6 windows in total. One side had to have a 40mm wide piece of timber fixed between two frames to make up the total length and one window had to be reduced in size. It worked out much cheaper than anything else.

The top is easy then, only difficult bit will be the roof sealing to the wall.
