My fantastic Canon S95 has developed a lens issue where it will no longer extend 🙁 Anyone recommend a digital camera repair company that can fix lense issues ?

Cheers.

If canon uk can't help we use fixtionuk.com to mend our twisted and broken bits. If its a small camera there might be guides online to fix it yourself as it might not be worth repairing. Could be grit in the mechanism. Good luck.

There are two canon repair centres in the uk. not sure if it's worth it tho, s/hand S95's go for about £200 on ebay, bit of a gamble i suppose. I took my s90 apart to replace the screen (£30) and it was easy (instructions online I think), so you could try DIY.

DK Audio Visual do Canon.

Had a Sony DAT player fixed by them, and a Panasonic TZ5 - came back like new.

I had a problem with my old Ixus i7 and the Canon UK center were very good at getting it repaired out of warranty. Reasonable price too.

I used these people to fix my Nikon D60. Good job done (the camera worked again) and reasonable price.

I made the mistake of putting my camera down on the beach for a split second! Cue jammed lense mech and subsequent error messages!! 🙄
As we were only two days into the hols I thought I'd have a bash at stripping it down and it was some of the tiniest sand particles ever that had got stuck in there! Panasonic Lumix jobby btw. Works fine now tho...
