Well actually, its not for me, its for the local school fundraising group which I run. We want something to raise our profile and use in a new marketing campaign.

Anyway, we are called Fundraisers for Auchtergaven School (catchy huh!) and based in Perthshire.

Let the offer of designs / onslaught of disdain begin.

TIA

Ha Ha - as you well know, it's the future! Need I quote Thoreau?

"Do not hire a man who does your work for money, but him who does it for love of it" - and, had Walden had the internet, he might have added that you will find just such a man on this site.

I predict that the hive mind of STW will play a major part in stabilising international food and fuel markets.

I like the green border, its suggests eco vibes

Auchtergaven Primary School is in the village of
Bankfoot. It is at the west side of the village.
Bankfoot is a small village eight miles north of Perth.
In Bankfoot there is a tennis court, a bowling green
and a new church centre. Bankfoot is in Perthshire
in Scotland.

The days must just fly past in Bankfoot ๐Ÿ˜‰

Right, game on! By the time I'm done, global corporations will consider their own branding 'amateur'...

What I thought was funny, was the thread title. Proper cheeky. Then I read what GeoffJ wanted, and thought 'why not?' At least it was a more honest request than others have been...

And maybe it will show that not all Southerners are greedy rich bastards who are happy to dine on truffles and champagne, whist poor children in Scotland suffer not having nice logos. See? Bridging the North/South divide.

That knighthood can't be too far off now...

Elfin - edit your comment. Just do it for the love, not to prove a point, not for the personal gain of a knighthood, just for the love!

It's the only way to become a Saint!

No I'm not asking for a knighthood, I'm not asking for one, I just accept that one will probbly be forthcoming.

I may of course simply turn it down, as is my perogative.

I had to look up what 'venal' meant:

Venality:

The quality or fact of being for sale. 2. The quality of being venal; readiness to give support or favour in return for profit or reward; prostitution of talents or principles for mercenary considerations.

That's nice. I offer to help someone, yet now I have become reduced to nothing more than a Common Whore.

Bloody hell effin, haven't you finished yet! This is why the country is falling to bits. Too many designers, not enough engineers.
I came up with a perfectly workable solution 5 days ago.

Youse'll see it in good time. It's near enough done; just waiting for some feedback off the school and kids and that.

Pfft. It's not a big deal, just somebody asked for a little favour, and I'm in a position to do it for them.

As its for a primary school I do hope you've used Comic Sans - as under local education guidelines its now compulsory to use this font for any school related work!

Yep - its a gorgeous piece of retro website design done in a minimalist style. I'm particularly fond of some of the blue text on a red background.

Yeah but in fairness, that's someone doing that in their spare time, as part of a nice community effort. Not everyone is blessed with awesome web-design skills. I'm sure whoever did it does an admirable job elsewhere.

Don't criticise, but help for make better. Is good for community.
