So much for the planned ride out this morning! Just looked out and a good 3 or 4 inches of fluffy snow! Looks like we're sledging instead!! 😀
Go and ride in it you big softy.
**** that! 😯
Derbyshire so special it needs its own snow thread then? 🙂
Loads here in Ripley!
Fire up the Voodoo!
I'm in Belper and yes why not big up the Derbyshire!!! 😀
Loads in ripley? I'm near eastwood and Ilkeston and there's a bit but not enough to go sledging or boarding.
3-4 inch Onzadog.
My gf goes to Derby uni, does that count.?
Wrightyson - Belper boy here too.
We should meet up for a spin sometime.
Hopefully playing out in the snow later.
And yes, Derbyshire deserves it's own thread 😉
New Mills has had a light dusting, was hoping for more
Not enough near Glossop to build a snowman
4-5" in Newton near Tibshelf. Got to drive to Manchester in a mo - do I go across the peak or on the motorway hmmmmm....
Ambergate lad here!
Off sledging this morning - just waiting for my little girls mates to arrive.
Just a dusting of an inch in spondon. Already had the puppy out thrashing around in it for the last half hour. He hadnt a clue what it was at first, but loved it. Suns shining, looks like its going to be a beautiful wintery day!
The south gets snow, it's news.
The north gets snow, nobody cares.
Southern Jessies
The North gets a heatwave, its news

Definitely Mary hinge! I mostly rise alone because I have no friends! 😀
Too right Derbyshire deserves its own thread, Ripley lad here. Will be out on sunday around the Ambergate area
Love the pic with the ducks stood on the canal. And where's the last shot from! Born and bred Derbyshire lad but can't think of where that is??
Nothing worth mentioning in Whaley Bridge 🙁

its behind the old wire works at Ambergate, somewhere here...
A bit of info about it...

What muffin man said 😆
I ride up there all the time and never seen that! As in shining cliff?
Just above the wireworks 🙂
Wireworks as in the old factories LB now own? That's as in the bridge that accesses them off the a6? God knows?
My gf goes to Derby uni, does that count.?
No. Not a proper uni.
Yep, thats right.
The road from the bridge that accesses from the A6 runs through the car park and under an arch in the factory meeting the track running parrelel to the A6 through the factory.
Here there is a short track running uphill into the woods and the house is on the left from this track in amongst the woods.
You will have ridden past it many times without noticing by the sound of things but I guess you will have still been buzzing too much from the descents in Shining Cliff to be distracted!
I am officially blind then and that building being derelict is a crying bloody shame by the look of it! And yes I love the downhill fun in the cliff!! 😀
Halfway through the wireworks there's a big pillar on your right.
Follow the track up and round then you get to the house.
Somebody's been there today, the road had been cleared of snow 😯
h4muf, great photos and happy memories, learnt the art of off-roading round those parts, graduated in the North Yorks Dales.......the rest is history.
