We will be in touch
I noticed in my sunday paper magazine that these seem to be making a comeback this summer. I lived in these when I was a teenage lad, mainly because I was sailing at least a couple of times a week or just hanging out at the (Royal Hong Kong) Yacht Club... twenty years later I'm wondering if I could get away with donning them again? Bear in mind I now live in Huddersfield.
A deck shoe:
Those have never gone out of fashion amongst the 'well to do' in Oxford.
Best worn with a Hackett polo and jumper draped over your shoulders, yah?
Huddersfield, despite what you might think, is not Oxford.
Wearing some right now in the office 🙂
You would get killed.
And rightly so.
I used to wear them when I was a teen in Slurrey and briefly after we moved to Cornwall because I thought they looked classy - never ever again.
I like mine (Timberland) but they take a good while to wear in.
flash wears those............on sunday mornings, with cream coloured chino's, a poplin shirt and a criket jumper worn loosely over his shoulders.
while eating eggs benedict and crossionts........ 😀
What did you do wrong to end up going from a teenager hanging out at a yacht club to living in Huddersfield?
That's a big step backwards in life, eh?
I noticed in my sunday paper magazine that these seem to be making a comeback [s]this[/s] last summer
you need a better sunday supplement
to living in Huddersfield
You don't 'live' in CleckHuddersFax - you survive.
😉
Oh dear...memories of my teens wearing Dubarry Navy/Burgundy Deck Shoes...with tassles twisted on to the ends of the laces; tastefully finished with Burberry argyle socks. All worn under slightly baggy jeans with turn-ups. Hard to believe now looking back. Never again 😳
Deck shoes are sooooo 2009
I've been away from the desk for a few hours, back at work now 😐
So....I'm behind the times, eh? They were last year's trend? Well that's not like me at all...These things take a while to reach these 'ere remote parts.
m_f: it gets worse...I work in Heckmondwike 😯
Ho hum: that's what happens when you fall for a Yorkshire lass
