Why can't I get some decent rubber bands anymore. Have sourced a few times from the big River and they've been pretty substandard.
I use them for all sorts of elasticated work from tying inner tubes to sealing my ground coffee in the freezer.

Came here to say this. Also, my dog's backside, 12 to 24 hours later.

I have largely stopped using rubber bands in favour of velcro ties. Either off a roll that I cut to length as & when needed, or the velcro cable ties.

Mostly because I got fed up with them perishing; either snapping when I tried to put them around something, or finding them all crumbled & sticky in a drawer, where they were once holding something together. But also I think being more durable, it's more environmentally sound option.

reusable velcro roll

small velcro cable ties

large velcro cable ties
