Does such a thing exist ?

Or is there another suitably elegant solution out there ?

Any help much appreciated, ta.

the individual filters is my usual least bad option, or a v small french press

Ordinary Nescafe from Spain - totally different from the muck sold to the British.

Failing that, Blend 37.

yeah, thanks guys, google not helping me much.

was planning on just using filter papers without the cone, probably not too impractical (backpacking here btw)

will look into the Percol and similar

cheers

Can't remember what it's called, but it comes in a black labelled jar with a black lid & gold writing - cafe noir? That's pretty nice.

But, I'm happy with pretty much any coffee.

Certainly not Asdas own pre-sweetened espresso in a pack, had that camping at the weekend, It was like drinking stop-bite.

Just get a stovetop one as below and bring ground coffee with you. It's what I've always done. (obviously no good for ultralight camping)

I use a cafetiere mug - link

Only a fiver and it's insulated too.

Take your favourite - a standard cafetiere press fits inside the Alpkit mug (and others no doubt)and takes hee haw extra space

Coffee bags I've tried have been crapola

We used to use a stovetop.
Now, with kids and a huge tent we have to take so much stuff (and usually have leccy) so we just take the Gaggia.

Cowboy coffee. Put coffee in cup, add water. Coffee grounds sit on top, when brewed touch them with a spoon and they sink. Just don't drink the last bit. Perfectly OK for lightweight camping. Higher roast coffees don't sink so well.

Percol Espresso stuff, does the job & as long as you get the ratio just right then not too bad ... dont go adding lots of water though

Second Douwe Egberts if you really want instant.

Cowboy Coffee is the traditional method of making coffee in the wild and It does taste better, but some don't like the bits in the bottom.

Just bought some Lyons 'fresh ground coffee in one cup bags' from Morrysons. £1.99 for 18 bags & theyr'e not bad actually. Must be better than carting a cafetiere around!
Look for the green box.

LOL at Cowboy Coffee, although I do like the mug with the built in press.

I'm thinking Cowboy, or rubber band round the old filter paper cone !

cheers for the brand suggestions, might have a dabble.
