Crikey.

He seemed to be a pretty decent egg to me, but then I suspect the Balls Evil Empire (TM) were out to get him ever since he got the job "that numerically challenged **** Balls" of the excessive blinking had coveted for so long.

Jumped, I say, but mainly because someone must have had something on him.

Balls? LOLcarpetz.

Johnson never looked comfortable in there though did he? The treasury isn't really his thing. He missed countless opportunities to nail the everything-challenged-apart-from-ever-having-to-do-a-day's-work-to-pay-the-bills fool that's doing the job for real.

One of the posts that definately requires some intellectual clout

Of which Johnson has plenty. The tories however would seem to disagree with you.

So what has he been upto?

gaffing mainly. Which is a pity.
It's also a pity he didnt have the "balls" to stand for leader too.

the shit will stick to ed though for putting him in the brief in the first place.

EDIT:

So what has he been upto?

inappropriate pussy pulling?

Who cares about the shadow treasury sideshow?

When is Andrew Lansley going to be removed for talking spurious BS? - that's what I wanna know.

Guido might have the scoop:

http://order-order.com/2011/01/20/balls-spad-outed-alan-johnsons-family-problems/

Alan Johnson’s suspected affair with a civil servant was widely rumoured around Westminster, it was the reason that people believed that he had not run for leader. The story was kept out of the papers – until now.

This evening Guido sources are pointing the finger at Alex Belardinelli, Special Adviser to Ed Balls, as the person who has been making inquiries into Alan Johnson’s private life. Shadow Cabinet sources say they believe the Sunday Times has the story and Ed Miliband himself believes that Ed Balls’ people have had a hand in the story getting out. Balls chose his moment well, a series of gaffes by Alan Johnson had left him politically weakened.

Balls really is a venomous little turd.

The loss of Johnson is a blow to the Blairites in the Labour Party, which is good news. Wonder how many more will leave to become advisors for the Conservatives?

Indeed. Makes them even more unelectable.

Johnson was the only one of the post-Mowlam Labour crowd I actually liked.

I have even less respect for Ed Balls than I do for George Osborne.

The problem is that there's no difference these days. A good news day for it all to break too, given that Blair will be lying his face off right about now.

"Indeed. Makes them even more unelectable".

Yet again you prove how little you know Woppit.

There is no evidence that the so-called "Blairites" are more popular with the electorate than the so-called "Brownites". In the last few weeks of his premiership, Labour Party support under Tony Blair stood at 27% with the Tories on 36% and the LibDem on 22%

Labour slumps to lowest poll rating since 1983

In the general election under Gordon Brown's leadership, despite Britain having just gone through an unprecedented economic crises, Labour polled 29% the Tories 36% and the LibDems 23%.
