Does anyone know of anyone that was knocked off their road bike yesterday in the Aldershot area (Blackwater Way)?

I caught the whole incident on a dash cam in the car I was driving, but have had no contact from the police.

would just like to make sure he is ok and I will give him the video.

You can report it online and upload the video: https://www.hampshire.police.uk/ro/report/

Have been online and filled out form, video needs to be hosted which I don’t have, so hopefully they can take a memory stick or some other way?

does imgur or similar support video? could use that to host it. or google drive, you can make 'private' albums thay you have to have the specific URL to view.

Ok not the same. Hope you track down the cyclist. FB groups are pretty good for that kind of thing

Can you Dropbox the video and link to that?

I dont understand why there isn't a national method of doing this rather than each force having their own methods?

I will try the YouTube, just don’t want it getting public. When the form is submitted they do say they will contact you to get the video another way.

Its just that I thought they may have been in touch already, as I reported it just after it happened to 101, and told them I had the video, which clearly shows vehicle not stoping at the roundabout and braking seconds before impact.

I've done this with you tube before. You can keep it private.

If you've gone the contact form route my local force, GMP, usually send an email with a link to a Dropbox account to upload to. Pretty sure they don't do anything with them, but you know, worth a go...  the only correspondence I've had with them is when they got in contact with me to say my video was out of their area. When I pinted out it wasn't wuth map references and a an image of their boundaries they went quiet.

Are you on Twitter?

@hantspolroads is the roads policing unit they might be able to track the incident. Nothing in their feed about an Aldershot accident that I can see at the minute.

Royal Surrey Hospital

If they went to A&E it would probably have been frimley park.

I was contacted by the Police, it transpires that the accident happed on the border of Surrey and Hampshire, I had filled out the details on the Hampshire website, so Surrey police were unaware until they reviewed the Emergency calls received.

They now have the video, and the guy involved is recovering, though has no recollection of the accident, so this hopefully gives him some closure.

Not sure about a prosecution, they have asked me to keep a copy in case it goes to court.

A good friend is a senior traffic cop in Hampshire (runs 4 counties traffic policing). He told me the other day they're encouraging camera footage.

If you get no joy, DM me....
