Just for those who've allowed this SACRILEGE to happen. I beleive this as reasonable request/demand. I'm sure any decent, reasonable person will agree with me.

Might as well just turn the British Museum into a McDonalds and have done with it.

The End of Civilisation.

😥

The Star Wars brand has been sold out to advertise tack so much you can forget trying to revive this flogged to death throughbred from the golden knackers yard.

Why are you watching Currys/PC World adverts ? Why do you feel that you shouldn't be disappointed by Currys/PC World adverts ? What would be your preferred choice for Currys/PC World adverts ?

Answer those questions.

BTW I have no idea what you are talking about, so a brief description of the offending advert would also be useful 💡

Why are you watching Currys/PC World adverts ?

Because I'm watching CSI, and the ads came on.

The worst thing is, I thought it was actually quite a good ad; well made and in the spirit of the original films. 😳

I am also aware that the films had huge commercial success from merchandising, which was pretty much why the Return of the Jedi got made.

In fact it's actually an invalid Elfinrant. Oh dear. 😐

you know that lucas is starting the build up to the sequel trilogy, im guessing 2015ish for episode VII

and compared to the sacriledge that is the prequels i think the currys ad is quite good

Flick to BBC News 24 then........that's what I do.

Specially if the adverts are just upsetting you.

The death penalty seems a little extreme, even for you, elf.

I'm sorry, it's actually brilliant! 😀 Very funny.

Love the bit where the little Roomba thing comes along, then promptly turns around again...

How rude!

😆

Qualitage.

What a proper rubbish and invalid rant though, eh? I FAIL.

The best bit is when R2D2 gets excited over a Hetty Vacuum cleaner.

I wanted to hate it.

But Artoo blasting the plasma screen is brilliant.

All it was missing was Leia in that outfit.

Much better than some dude in a purple shirt 'stamping down on prices' IMHO.

Also better than much of the various films.

Win / win, methinks.

It's all part of Lucas' master plan to own ALL the money in the world.

I don't think PC World is that good that a "poor"* advert can be sacrilege, surely?

*I've not seen them. BBC.

Hadn't seen it. Thought it was quite entertaining. Shan't be shopping there though.

Is Lucas turning into a revolving door or something? I thought he'd denied all plans to do a sequel trilogy and said he only ever planned 6 (despite having said that the original trilogy were the middle 3 of 9 films)

Although, if he put in jar jar binks solely to please his child, by the time he makes ep9 surely he must have a teenage boy who'll want to see loads of women in skimpy bikinis a-la Leia in That Outfit, so maybe the last film might be worth watching....

What's the problem? Star Wars is over rated (the film are too long and the dialogue is appalling - nice idea though) and has sold out from the beginning.

If you want to see Star Wars really selling out then search YouTube for the "Star Wars Holiday Special" made in 1978 and featuring Chewbaccas family and a some songs!

No it's actually a brilliant advert and my initial response was nothing short of the typical knee-jerk reactionism we've sadly come to expect as normal on STW. 🙁
