Hi
can someone explain how it works. if i was to contribute and the venture fails to reach it's desired level of investment would i get my money back or is it a gamble?

No idea but I know of a project that friends invested in on seeders which has just failed so they probably getting back a few pence in the £.
Don't invest what you can't afford to lose.

its not really an investment its to purchase a product, however from my understanding the company need to generate a pre determined level of investment to enable manufacture. If this level isn't reached will they refund any/all investments?
