Is the Kuna right? Wer'e going in September & are wondering whether to take some kuna's or £££'s & change them there. Waddya think/know?

There's nothing special about Croatian currency. Just do whatever you do when you normally visit another country.

We took Kunas.
Not many places to rely on a card, particularly cafés. Bus, train etc. fine though.
Topped up at cash machines in town using a card that didn't sting us for it.
