Only got as far as the bottom of the road - white smoke and everythings stopped!!!! So called the recovery and got wait for them come sort it out. Grrrrrrrr. Ultimate driving machines - my arse pmsl!!!!
white smoke = 75% probabilty head gasket, 25 to 50 quid max, simples!
Sounds like Headgaskets gone,Have you checked the fluid levels latley?
Anifreeze added and correct percentage to water?
If its an older engine,Valve stem oil seals can fail causing white smoke. 😥
fotorat - 25-50 for the parts if it doesn't need skimming as well surely? More like 200-300 all in I'd have thought at a local garage.
All levels were fine, topped up and right mix. It's a 2003 BMW 3 litre - ain't going to be cheap I reckon 🙁
Cars been collected and will be dropped off at the garage I have do the servicing etc. Couldn't be done at the roadside but at least it's gone somewhere safe and off-road. Now will wait for the garage ring me and give me the bad news. Off to have a drink now and drown my sorrows 😳
