I’m 39 and got the Pfizer jab on Saturday evening. Other than a slightly sore arm I experienced zero side affects. My wife got it too and she was/is fine as well.

Did a 3hr hill walk on Sunday and just ran a brisk 10km this evening - all feels good.

Question for the chemists, doctors and nurses: Regarding the sore arm, is that caused by the actual injection? Ie, the mechanical intrusion of steel into a muscle. Or the drug/solution itself? Ie, certain drugs may be corrosive or acidic etc... Or a bit of both?

Had the AZ jab first thing last Thursday morning. Felt fine all day Thursday, but woke up Friday with my joints feeling a little bit achy and with very mild cold/flu symptoms. Popped a couple of paracetamol and cracked on. Left arm where the jab was is a bit sore, but that’s about it. Well done science

First Pfizer jab on Saturday morning - been ok all weekend. Had a quick spin in the woods Sunday afternoon and apart from being a bit low on energy was fine. This morning got a productive hour of jobs/calls done but at 10am felt totally drained, literally couldn't keep my eyes open. An hour's kip later felt right as rain - odd! Quite glad we're still working from home tbf...

Had my first jab at 14:20 on Saturday and felt fine all day. Woke up at around 01:30 on Sunday freezing cold, shaking uncontrollably, teeth chattering and a really bad headache. Skin was red hot to the touch. Put the heating on plus lots of clothes and spent the next 24 hours or so feeling like absolute shit. Aching, sweating, hot/cold, hot/cold etc. Headache is only just easing off now.

AZ vaccine and 44. I’ve had Covid twice and the the last two days felt like a slightly less intense version of my initial Covid symptoms. Just feel drained and lethargic now. So basically how I’ve felt for the last ****ing year!

None of the above, but I do administer about a thousand jabs or more each year, and you really notice that some of the drugs provoke an immediate reaction with the animals (they jump and get really uncomfortable as soon as it is injected), while other drugs can be banged in without the slightest reaction. We know which ones make them jump so always brace ready for it. With some of the vaccines we give, almost all the ewes will get a abscess on the site of the jab a week or so after the jab, this is considered to be quite normal and a reaction to the oily medium used to carry the active ingredient. If human vaccines caused such a swelling and reaction there would be an outcry, so I guess we can be thankful that it is only a prolonged soreness that we get 🙂

48 and had Pfizer round 1 last tues. Sore arm for 2 days, headache day 3, paracetamol sorted. I'm hearing that AZ gives you grief after 1st dose but less on 2nd, opposite for Pfizer.

Pfizer number 2 last Wednesday.
Sore arm, headaches, earache, stiff and painful muscles for a few days, noticed riding bike over rough terrain.

Back to normal middle aged feeling constantly tired and aching now. 👍

Pfizer yesterday afternoon. Arm is very sore this morning. Didn't sleep great and had some truly bizarre vivid dreams about a girlfriend from 25 years ago! Woke up with the feeling of a mild hangover and struggled to get out of bed. Heart rate seems ok according to my garmin

AZ first dose last Saturday afternoon, felt perfectly normal on going to bed that night then

woke up feeling awful.
Arms, legs, neck and head aching, feel really weak

Pretty much exactly this ^^^^, woke up around 3am, headache was probably the worst I've had in years, still a bit ropey yesterday morning but pretty much back to normal now

Self (44/m) and other half (41/f) both had first AZ jabs yesterday at 4pm. No real side effects for the rest of the day for me - she had a slightly sore arm. Both started to feel a bit achy at about 11pm so took paracetamol and went to bed. I slept better than normal and woke up feeling like I'd done a massive ride the day before. She slept really badly and is running a temperature alongside feeling fatigued, much more so than I am. Hopefully tea, toast and paracetamol again will help!

Had my first Pfizer jab yesterday and nothing - not even a mark on my arm, never mind any soreness.

I'm feeling slightly smug so I'll probably get knocked for six by the second dose to teach me a lesson.

First jab (astrazenica) yesterday at 11. 42 year old and fit/healthy.

No reaction till last night, woke up at 4am with what felt like flu fever all over, had to go stand in the bathroom on cold tiles/windows open. Wife asked if I was going through the change...

Didnt get much sleep but feel generally fine now, little groggy and temp is gone.

40 M, Moderna jab yesterday at 4.30pm had to check they had actually done it at the time as I thought they had only done the wipe.

Took some Paracetamol before bed as my arm was feeling a bit sore.

Today feel like I've I drunk a bottle of wine, bit was a bit slow up the steep part for dog walk this morning and a bit fuzzy thinking.

AZ vaccine M/50 no health issues

1st jab 05/03 09:30am - 12hrs after: cold sweats, temperature, dizziness, headache, abdominal pains/cramps, nausea, muscular aches/pains. Vomiting @ 4am & no sleep. Felt pretty awful for 3-4 days afterwards (tired, sore arm, fuzzy headed, muscular aches & headache).

2nd Jab 11/05 09:30am - Nothing other than slightly sore arm. Even did a club ride last night. Today the arm is still a bit sore but no other side effects at all.

Ford Mondeo, 1st Jab, 8am Tuesday morning. Bit of a dead arm. All day Tuesday, felt like I’d been drinking, couple of pints in a sunny beer garden kind of drunk. Nothing else.
Went for a ride last night, was slow and useless - so 100% no side effects.
RM.

Similar here - one day of aching and feeling '90%' and bouncing back to normal the next day.

AZ.

AZ jab yesterday, in the morning. Fine til bed time apart from a sore arm.

Then a mostly sleepless night with high temp & joint pain. I feel pretty rubbish now.

But, compared to actually having COVID (over Xmas) it’s about 10% as bad. Not looking g forward to another dose...

AZ first dose 9 days ago. 41; male; with no known significant underlying conditions.

The 24 hours after was mostly OK. I felt cold going to bed so I dug out skiing base layers and slept fine. Things then went downhill, but in a pretty vague non-specifically unwell sort of way. It's been mostly minor headaches, brain fog, joint and muscle aches, and fatigue for the last week. I'm hopeful it has started to clear today, but I've felt that a couple of mornings and still been a wreck again by late afternoon.

Almost exactly this bar the club ride even the dates match! Son however 17 had Pfizer one and he had reverse, so fine first one and pretty ill after 2nd dose

Pfizer 2 just 3 days ago: sore arm. nothing else
Pfizer 1 back at end of Feb: couldn't sleep for 3 days, severe fatigue like I've never had before, confused/anxious which was just plain odd: I *know* the microwave needs the door shut to work! Couldn't concentrate at all, brain whizzing with odd flashbacks. Immediately followed by getting Shingles needing meds. Had that before but only very mild. Arthritis may be relevant.

Mrs Owg had her second Pfizer jab on Wednesday. Same as the first, nothing but a sore arm and mild headache.

Had jab on tuesday. Felt great by Thursday. This morning cycled up usual (albeit steep) hill and really struggled. Felt properly dodgy for 5 to 10 minutes. Might be related, might be something else but i was in a poor place.

Only side effect I’ll get is a significant risk of death. Not even a sniff of COVID-19 jabs in Australia for the general public. Looks like we will not be able to escape from the colony for another 12 months at least......

Nearly 40 male, bit chubby but lot very hairy.

As said elsewhere first was AZ, about 2 months ago. Uncontrollable shakes that evening, hives over 50% of body next day, and month long headache/fatigue.

GP switched me to Pfizer for second dose 4 days ago and honestly wouldn't have known I had been jabbed if I hadn't seen the guy do it. So happy as only that morning the news reported far stronger side effects being recorded when mixing vaccines.

43. Had my AZ jab at midday yesterday. Felt fine till about 9pm, then the chills and aches started. Hot and cold sweats all night. Raging headache about 2am - got up and took some paracetamol. By 7am I felt a bit better. Still light headed and really tired.

When I had the first AZ one I was similar to many others, fine for rest of the day after jag at 7pm, woke with a dull headache and got gradually more tired till about 24hrs post jag. Then went to bed and had a troubled feverish 6 hrs or so, then a sleep and woke up pretty much ok in the morning, so about 36 hrs elapsed. Sore arm persisted for another 3 or 4 days and a bit tired for a few days too.

Had 2nd one at 7pm last night and so far similar path..

Well that’s 36 hours since AZ vaccine 2 and just taken dog out for a walk. Pretty tired and empty feeling, but no fever overnight. Was pretty wiped out most of yesterday and dozed quite a lot. Early to bed at 9 and a slightly broken night but a lot easier than first time.

A lovely sunny morning for a road ride but will listen to my head and rest up today…

@iainc good to hear the second one didn't cause as many symptoms as the first, wasn't looking forward to going through that again!

M52, reasonably fit and healthy. Just had my 2nd Phizical this week. First was just a sore arm for a couple of days. This time same except felt like I was coming down with flu for an hour or do the following evening. Took paracetamol and was OK by bedtime.

There do seem to be more side effects with AZ. I know a number of (post menopausal) women who have experienced bleeding for some time post jab. Not widely reported, but scientists are beginning to realise that the uterus plays a role in the immune system, hence possible link.

Pfizer about 3 hours ago, so far so good , just a sore arm/shoulder.

I've had reactions to anti virals and antibiotics in the past and I was worried about having it.

From reading some of the other posts I am expecting some side effects later.

Had my first a few weeks ago, AZ, only had an urge for a pork pie when passing the Co-op, but can't be certain that was related.

Wife was full flu symptoms for 3 days after and not looking forward to her second on Friday. Also AZ.

I went on and looked and it said that they'd contact us to adjust bookings, so I've left mine. But I did click through further anyway - did you have to cancel and then book again? I didn't find a 'rearrange' button.
