As title really, is it possible?
not really without previous and sparky is much harder but more likely to be a shortage in the future.
Some make mega bucks bmost dont and construction is not doing great at the minute
I would avoid those that offer trainign for a few grand etc as they are just to make money IME
Full NVQ ifunding is circs 10 k poer year for two years as an example of actual cvost

I've got a friend who went from nothing to Part p in around 3 months, but then he only has to glance at something once and he knows and understands it completely. He did it just to give him something to fall back on when he started his own business but apart from a few jobs when he'd first qualified he hasn't needed it as his business is doing very well.
So technically possible if like him you are a human sponge and also very practical.
Simple answer is yes actually. Despite what the plumbers are sparks will have you believe, it's not rocket science in the least.
You can actually become a domestic electrical installer in 4 days! You will be expected to take a couple of C&G quals within your first year but that's it pretty much. To work outside domestic, you will need to do another C&G or two and become an approved contractor.
Plumbing is even easier. Unless you're doing gas, solar or unvented, you don't actually need any qualifications at all!
With both though, experience is the most valuable thing you can have. If you're serious, start reading every electrical and plumbing forum you can. You can learn a lot, just remember though that you will need the academic side to put what you read into practice or you could end up in difficulty.
Also, don't expect to find much work in the beginning or for anyone to take you on either. There is no shortage of lads who will work for pocket money so they can learn the trade.
As above, stay away from expensive courses, your local college should be all you need.
